• Managing established Upwork agency profiles for multiple years
• Optimising agency profiles, specialised profiles and portfolios
• Generating and qualifying relevant project opportunities
• Writing high-quality, customised proposals
• Managing Upwork connects and bidding strategy
• Taking leads from proposal interview negotiation closure
• Maintaining/improving JSS and Top Rated / Top Rated Plus status
• Building long-term clients and recurring contracts
• Working specifically with IT/software development companies
• Understanding web/mobile development, SaaS, AI, e-commerce and staff augmentation

Preferred candidate profile

• Who has experience in maintaining Upwork accounts and other bidding portals.

• Relevant experience and qualifications for the Business Development Manager role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to be based in or relocate to Kolkata, India
