Patient Care Assistant

Indra Hospital is looking for a compassionate and responsible Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support patients with their daily care needs and assist nursing staff in providing a safe and comfortable hospital environment. The role includes helping with patient mobility, hygiene, comfort, and routine support under the supervision of nursing staff.

• Minimum 10th/12th qualification preferred.
• GDA/PCA certification or relevant healthcare training is an advantage.
• Previous hospital experience preferred, but freshers may apply.
• Physically fit and comfortable assisting patients with mobility.
• Good communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights when required.

• Assist patients with bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and other daily activities.
• Help patients move safely between beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
• Assist nursing staff with routine patient-care activities as directed.
• Monitor and report changes in a patient's condition or comfort to nursing staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene around the patient's bed and care area.
• Help with changing bed linen and maintaining patient comfort.
• Transport patients to different hospital departments when required.
• Assist with transferring authorized reports, samples, medicines, and hospital materials.
• Follow infection-control, hygiene, and patient-safety procedures.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and provide courteous assistance.
• Maintain respectful and compassionate behaviour toward patients and attendants.
