Job Description

The Personal Loan Department handles the complete process of personal loans, from finding potential customers and collecting applications to document verification, credit coordination, approval and disbursement. Depending on the company, the role can be mainly sales-focused or operations/processing-focused

Requirements

  • 12th pass or graduate, depending on the employer; graduation is commonly preferred.
  • Freshers may be considered for entry-level positions, while 0–2 years of banking/NBFC/loan/financial-services experience is useful. 
  • Good Hindi and English communication.
  • Basic knowledge of:
    • Personal loans
    • EMI and interest rates
    • KYC
    • CIBIL/credit score
    • Loan documentation
  • Basic MS Excel and computer/CRM skills.
  • Good customer-handling and follow-up skills.
  • For sales roles: ability to work with targets and incentives and, where applicable, willingness to do field work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate leads through telecalling, references, digital leads, field visits and channel/DSA partners.
  • Contact customers and understand their loan requirements.
  • Explain loan amount, interest rate, tenure, EMI, eligibility and documentation.
  • Check basic customer eligibility before submitting the application.
  • Collect and verify KYC documents such as PAN, Aadhaar and address proof.
  • Collect income documents such as salary slips, bank statements and ITR/Form 16, as applicable.
  • Complete and submit loan applications accurately.
  • Coordinate with Credit, Operations and Verification teams.
  • Follow up on pending documents and credit queries.
  • Track the application from login → verification → approval/sanction → disbursement.
  • Keep customers updated about their application status.
  • Update customer information and follow-ups in CRM/Excel.
  • Achieve assigned monthly loan sourcing/disbursement targets if the position is sales-oriented.
  • Provide customer support after disbursement when required.
